Gogo Group in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal

For the past year the Wakefield Grannies have been supplying moral and monetary support to a group of 16 women in a very impoverished region of Natal. They call themselves "Asinibong’ubaba".
Our funds have supplied them with much needed blankets, tracksuits for the children, socks for adults and children and of course food.
As well, we suggested that they try to afford a laptop so that they are able to maintain contact with us which we feel is important from the viewpoint of both our granny group and theirs. We are hopeful that we will be able to find a group in Canada who will be willing to continue with this support.
